Shekoli! I'm Chelsea, and I'm absolutely thrilled to have you here! I am orginally from Hamilton, Ontario, but I moved to Thunder Bay at 17 to start my university journey. Now, at 21, I graduate with a BA in Women and Gender Studies in April,  breaking generational cycles of poverty and trauma within my family.

When I'm not immersed in my studies, I find so much joy in my role as a Resident Crisis Worker - I love creating safe havens for residents during moments of chaos, and being a positive presence in the home. I also work in a daycare, cherishing every moment spent with the children. My heart is always full after a day at work no matter where, and I am so privlieged to be in a position where my work fuels my soul.

But the heartbeat of my passion lies in my period drives, the reason for this campaign. I'm beyond excited to unveil my 3rd Period Advocacy Campaign, "Flowing for Change." Over the past two years, with the unwavering support of the community and incredible partnerships, my campaigns have made an impact, donating over 23,000 products to five shelters across Thunder Bay—Shelter House, Beendigen, The Women’s Center, Faye Peterson, and the Lakehead University Food Resource Center - systemically altering the way that thousands of people have accessed menstrual products.

This campaign is more than a project; it's a platform to be a voice for a community often overlooked and underserved. Having personally faced poverty and experienced period poverty, this cause hits close to home. I'm immensely grateful for the continued support that allows me to make a difference. Thanks for joining me on this journey!

Launched in my second year of university, my first campaign donated 7,300 products total to Beendigen, Faye Peterson, The Women's Center, and The Shelter House

My second campaign, in my third year, donated a total of 16,000 products to Faye Peterson, The Shelter House, and The Lakehead Food Resource Center.
